Most of the illness our doctors see in the field was preventable. Clean water handling, hand hygiene, recognising the warning signs in a sick infant and knowing when a fever needs a clinic rather than a home remedy will save more lives than any single camp.
We run campaigns through the institutions people already trust, mosques, schools and community elders, in the language they actually speak, and we return to the same places so the message is not a one off visit.
